French Heritage to show 60 pieces from Bluffton Inn hotel project

Six rooms designed for boutique property on display at April High Point Market

Written by Thomas Russell, April 10, 2018

"HIGH POINT – A project that French Heritage developed for a boutique hotel in South Carolina will also present opportunities for designers and luxury furniture dealers seeking an eclectic mix of bedroom and accent furniture pieces. The Old Town Bluffton Inn in Bluffton, S.C., is a 14-room hotel developed by retired luxury home builder Larry Leary. Having moved from Connecticut to South Carolina to be close to family in the area, including his daughter Danielle, he got the idea to develop a hotel that would fill a void in the marketplace for upscale lodging.

Leary came to the October 2017 High Point Market seeking furnishings for the hotel when he visited the French Heritage showroom, located at 1638 English Road. There he met Henessy Wayser, president of the luxury case goods and upholstery resource. French Heritage took on the project and developed about 150 pieces for the 14 rooms. It is showing six of the rooms at this week’s market with roughly 60 of the pieces on display. The rooms span a variety of styles ranging from neoclassic and tropical to modernly classic and English club room-inspired.

“For me the best part of the project was getting the feelings and emotion of the Inn right,” Henessy Wayser said. “Larry wanted something stately and traditional, while Danielle wanted more fashion, fantasy and art as part of the 14-room inn.”

Wayser added that each room is furnished and designed “with a personality all its own.”

“These personalities are themed to correspond to the experience of guest staying there, as well as, the likes and whims of Danielle and Larry,” Wayser noted. “Using lots of color, pattern and custom pieces, the rooms feel luxuriously comfortable, each an adventure in its own right. It’s more like staying in someone’s home rather than a hotel. Just downstairs you enter into the charm and history of the town, as well as, enjoy several new restaurants that serve farm to table innovative cuisine.”

Installation of the Inn will be in mid-June, Wayser said. In addition to getting a glimpse of several of the rooms at market, visitors to the French Heritage showroom can also register to win a weekend for two at the Inn this summer.

French Heritage also is hosting a Bluffton Inn Southern Hospitality Event from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, April 15. There, guests can meet the owners of the Inn, Larry, Danielle and her husband Vince. Savanna restaurant owner and chef Blake Elsinghorst will prepare southern fare specialties and a signature Bluffton Inn cocktail."

The historic home is now listed as a county landmark and is also on the National Register of Historic Places. This home will proudly host 28 designers as they transform each space to their own, while maintaining this history and emphasizing the interior architecture. French Heritage in Charlotte Home Design & Decor's Berry and Bright

By Ashley Hotham Cox

Nathalie 0 1245 Article rating: No rating

Thank you Ashley Hotham Cox of Charlotte Home Design & Decor for featuring the French Heritage Mimosa End Table from Facet Collection in Berry & Bright!

"From raspberry and ruby to garnet and aubergine, the warmth and intensity of blue-based berry reds have a dramatic effect.

Drench your interiors with a succulent red that adds depth while exuding decadence and luxe living. Just take a look at the lacquer library renowned designer Miles Redd created. Choosing the right sheen will enhance a color, and in this instance, all the theatrics are out on display.

From pops of vibrant fuchsia to subtle strokes of deep cranberry, the different shades of this rich, saturated hue works well with a variety of ambiences. As for textiles, lush cut velvets set a sensual tone while light-weight ikats impart a playful sophistication.

This sumptuous color pairs nicely with complementary greens such as emerald and peridot. But to really indulge the senses, incorporate a rich dark chocolate into the space. It will leave your mouth watering."

...
Michelle Workman’s “Kir Royale Cabinet” for French Heritage boasts elegant brass trimming and feet."

The Kir Royale Cabinet is a curvaceous form loaded with character and visual appeal scaled to easily fit within the most intimate of dining spaces. A top of solid softly honed granite, solid brass feet and hardware creates dramatic contrast to the faux diamond patterned Shagreen with contrasting interior lacquer.

Thank you Thomas Russell of Casual Living for featuring our new outdoor line.

"At the October High Point Market, the company unveiled a seven-piece group called the Cyprus collection: Furniture for the Outdoors. Through both finish, forms and mix of materials the pieces are made to look like antiques.

The group includes two leg tables – round and rectangular – a bar unit with wine storage and two smaller consoles, also with drawer storage and inlaid stone tops. There are also two chairs, one of which has cabriole style legs and a mesh seat and back and a tub chair with a woven rattan frame and splayed legs.

At market the group was also shown with two benches, including one with a mesh seat and wood frame and a second with a country French ladder-back design. While designed specifically for the outdoors, the collection is also well suited for indoor/outdoor rooms and other indoor spaces.

The pieces are made in Indonesia with solid mango and come in a weatherproof acrylic finish."

The Facet Collection was one of the top highlights for Lighting & Décor Magazine at High Point Market making their list of Editor's Faves.

Nicole Bowling, Editor-in-Chief, wrote, "Another thing I enjoyed this market was spending some time with Michelle Workman at French Heritage. Los Angeles interior designer turned Tennessee farm girl, Workman entered into a collaboration with the manufacturer to debut her Facet Collection, which is Art-Deco inspired and very customizable with wonderful and thoughtful details. One of her rooms was feminine, with pastels and flowers and a girly, glamorous vibe — across the way, the other was dark and dramatic with moody colors and even moodier silhouettes. Her products worked in each, just with a change in finish, pushing home her idea that each piece can be used in many different ways and in many different settings, especially with product outside of her collection." "French-inspired furniture manufacturer French Heritage will unveil the Facet Collection, made in collaboration with designer Michelle Workman, during the April 22-26 High Point Market.

The Facet Collection by Michelle Workman is inspired by Hollywood Glam Deco, the forms resonating with bold contemporary appeal that is at once timeless and of-the-moment. The case goods and upholstered silhouettes are a mix of clean lines emphasized by a heady selection of hand rubbed exotic woods. Brass, copper and chrome accents intertwine with pastel lacquers, textural fabrics and faux Shagreen leathers in an array of colorways and rich hues.

Hosted by Henessy and Jacques Wayser and Michelle Workman, personal media tours of the new collection will be held during the market. Tours will begin on Thursday, April 20 and run through Tuesday, April 25 from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m. at the French Heritage Showroom, 1638 English Road.

While at French Heritage, guests are invited to enjoy decadent culinary delights expertly prepared by Cordon Bleu Chef Blake Elsinghorst. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 11 a.m., lunch from noon to 2:30 p.m., and prohibition-inspired cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 4 to 7 p.m. Ample parking is available at the showroom location or arrangements can be made for the French Heritage Shuttle to pick up guests by calling the showroom at (336) 885-2868."
